What is the Emotional Mastery Programme?
It’s a 4-week journey that teaches you how to feel better, fast—using practical tools rooted in neuroscience, psychology, and lived experience. You’ll learn how to regulate your emotions, shift unhelpful patterns, and build steadiness from the inside out.
Who is this for?
It’s for anyone feeling stressed, anxious, overwhelmed, burnt out, low confidence, disassociated, or just not feeling like they are their best self. If you’re ready to feel better, think clearer, and take back your emotional steadiness—this is for you.
Who is the Coach?
I’m Taran Spero—a professional coach with over 5,000 hours of experience, and a lived experience practitioner who spent 10+ years working inside the NHS. I developed this programme within the NHS and have refined it to bring out to the public.
How long does it take to complete?
The core programme runs over 4 weeks with 1–2 hours of content each week. It’s fully self-paced, and you’ll have lifetime access to revisit the materials any time. Ideally, you need to spend 30 mins per day on the practices.
What results can I expect?
Most people feel a shift by week 2—more awareness, less reactivity, and a clearer sense of what’s going on inside. By the end of the programme, you’ll have a full emotional toolkit and a completely new relationship with your feelings.
What kind of support do I get?
You’ll get clear guidance in each module, plus access to the Skool community space for support and connection. If you choose the coaching tier, you’ll also get direct weekly support from me in the live group sessions.
You’ll get 4 x 1 weekly modules, each with short videos, body-based practices, emotional tools, workbooks, and guided exercises—plus weekly group coaching sessions on Zoom if you join the supported tier.
What if I’ve already done therapy or other courses?
Brilliant. This works beautifully alongside therapy or previous personal development work. It’s practical and hands-on—giving you tools to apply day-to-day, not just insights to think about.
What’s the weekly coaching like?
Each week, we meet live on Zoom for a small group coaching session. You can bring questions, get direct support, or just show up and listen. You don’t need to share if you don’t want to—come as you are.
Where is it hosted?
Everything is hosted on a private, easy-to-use community platform called Skool. You’ll get immediate access to all modules, reminders via email, and everything is in one place—no tech headaches.
Do I need to be tech-savvy to join?
Not at all. Skool is simple and works on desktop or phone. You’ll get clear instructions, support if needed, and weekly emails to keep you on track.

About Me

Growing up, I faced childhood trauma, battled mental health challenges and overcame an abusive relationship and addiction. Through it all, I danced to my own drum—refusing to let others define me.
Everything changed when I was told I would never work again. After 10 years as a model, hearing that I would rely on medication for the rest of my life left me devastated. But that moment of despair became a turning point. I refused to let my story end there.
Recovery & StudyI channelled my pain into purpose. Enrolling in a degree in psychology, I was determined to understand how to help myself and others. I also pursued a counselling course, applying what I learnt to my own healing and supporting others on a suicide crisis line. Seeing lives transformed through this work deepened my commitment to empowering others.
Service & LeadershipMy passion for transformation has led to a deeply fulfilling career within the NHS, where I’ve had the privilege of working with service users, staff and leaders to create meaningful and lasting change. Drawing on my own lived experience, I’ve worked closely with service users to support their recovery and empowerment. By combining personal insight with professional expertise, I connect on a deeper level—helping people feel heard, understood and supported, and contributing to real progress in their journeys.
As a professional EMCC-accredited coach, I’ve supported NHS staff at all levels—helping them overcome personal challenges, build confidence and achieve balance, while empowering leaders to gain clarity, develop resilience and foster growth within their teams. Through this work, I’ve helped staff and leaders align with their purpose and unlock their potential, ultimately enhancing the care provided to service users.
In my role as Chair of the Disability and Wellness Network (DAWN), I champion inclusion, equity and accessibility across the organisation—breaking down systemic barriers, amplifying diverse voices and creating safe, supportive spaces where people can thrive.
Grounded by NatureWhen I was told I would never work again, my dogs became an essential part of my recovery and growth. Their companionship grounded me through life’s challenges and reminded me of the healing power of presence. Nature, too, is a constant source of strength—walks, stillness and time under the trees offer clarity, renewal and balance.
Why I CoachI believe every one of us is born with a unique potential—authentic, fulfilled and aligned with our purpose. Life’s challenges can pull us away from that truth, but they also carry seeds of transformation. My own journey taught me to turn pain into purpose and find alignment with my true self—and it inspired me to help others reclaim their own.
This belief drives my work: to empower you to overcome limitations, rediscover your strengths and build a life that feels truly aligned with who you are. What motivates me most is witnessing people step into their power, rewrite their stories and thrive in ways they never thought possible—creating a life that reflects the person they were always meant to be.
